As a Family we would like to thank anyone who has been a part of our benefit
dinners in the past 2 years.
This Benefit held to raise awareness and funds for Huntington's Disease!
Huntington's Disease...A Family Story
Fred has been sick with Huntington's Disease since Melinda was in
kindergarten.
Seven years ago when Melinda was in 8th
grade, with the assistance of family and friends, she made over 100 baskets of hygiene items
for the patients at the New York Columbia Presbyterian Huntington’s
Disease Clinic and the Huntington's Disease Unit at Terrance Cardinal Cooke. The baskets were much appreciated by all the patients.
The Benefit Dinner began when Melinda required to do a Senior Project as a
Graduation requirement and she chose to raise awareness and funds for
Huntington’s Disease. Throughout her senior year she
held an awareness assembly, a Benefit dinner and sold key chains for
awareness. All the money raised was put towards Huntington’s Disease Research.
Melinda's goal was to raise $10,000 for the Cure, a grand total of $32,105 was
raised. After such success we decided as a family to hold a Second Annual. The
second dinner raised $25,350. Once again with great results and a great night,
we decided to hold a third annual.
Our goal as a family is to get
Huntington's Disease widely known.
Thanks to all that helped at our First & Second Annual...

These video's are about a family that is a true inspiration to my
family and I.
A family so stricken by HD and yet they are so strong and willing to continue
the fight against HD.
Huntington's Disease is a fatal illness that affects one in
every 10,000 Americans. Another 250,000 are at risk. But, sadly, this disease's
disruptive and devastating effects touch many more lives. Besides the emotional
trauma to victims and their families, there is a financial one, as well. Care is
costly and needed for many years. Please help us ease the suffering and continue
the research. Together, we can make this the last generation with Huntington's
Disease.
